I want to discuss something which is very often overlooked by marketers, whether online or offline.

I’m sure you’re already aware that having your own website is much more than just headers, footers and graphics, the pictures might make sense but if the copy doesn’t…then you’re sunk!

OK, you’ve done your market research and feel comfortably sure that there is a market out there for your product. The market’s spending money and it’s fairly buoyant, in other words there’s good search results.

With a bit of luck you might be sitting on a goldmine and you’re ready to present it to the world. You’ve planned your campaign and you’ve been wise enough to have a list in that very same field. Or maybe you’re thinking of doing an Adswap to someone else’s list.

If that sounds familiar to you, then ‘Well Done’ You are on the way to, hopefully a successful product launch. But, before you press any buttons, don’t follow in the footsteps of many that have foolishly gone before you, because this is the one part that can kill your campaign dead in the water.

I’m talking about the Sales Letter. Get it wrong and you’re all washed up. You may get traffic but if they don’t click through then what’s the point?

The Sales Letter is your bait, your hook, your line and your sinker. That one piece of copy grabs them, entices them, excites them and makes them want to buy.

Let me ask you this: Have you written copy that has been proven to make people buy in great numbers? If your answer is ‘Yes’ then you are a member of an elite band of copywriters. IF like the rest of us your answer is ‘No’ or ‘Not Quite’ then help is at hand in the form of an inexpensive solution. Unless of course you want to outsource it to one of our elite copywriters mentioned….OK, I thought not

I’m sure you’ve noticed over the past few weeks there’s been lots of promotions about Cost Per Action, and believe me Cost Per Action or CPA as it’s affectionately known can be truly amazing…if you know how to do it.

Very briefly, it’s one way of being paid without selling a product and without the customer getting the credit card out. In truth, you are selling the ‘sizzle’ not the product.

In many instances all the customer has to do is give an email address or zip code and you get paid. Now that sounds good to me.
