How Do You Drive Traffic to Your Website?
Here’s a thought,
It feels really good when you launch your first website, the expectations can be massive and quite rightly so. After all, we have websites to make money don’t we?
Whether it’s your own product, an affiliate product or Cost Per Action (cpa), when the website goes up (it’s like pushing up the shutters on your store window) we then stand back and wait for the customers to come in.
But what if they don’t?
If you have a store in the local town you can book an advert in the local paper or put a sign outside the store, even worst case you can stand outside and shout to attract customers.
But if you’re on the internet what do you do then?
You can still place ads in the form of Pay Per Click (if you’ve got a big wallet) or Banner Ads (bit cheaper but still costly) or you can put a sign up. OK, what on earth do I mean by that? How can you put a sign on the internet?
Easy! – Just as you would write a sign about your business, you would write an article about your subject, i.e, if you’re selling Acne cream write about the benefits of looking after your skin by eating healthy.
Now, we have to be a little bit more subtle because if you write an article you have two options.
1. Write a post and put it on your Blog. You can write whatever you want and be as ‘Salesy’ as possible.
2. Write an article about the subject (rather than the product) and post it on the Article Directories.
So which do you do?
With number one your post will probably be seen by your mum and a couple of mates at work.
With number two your article will probably be seen by hundreds, or with a bit of luck thousands of people.
Which do you prefer? OK, do I really need to ask?
Let’s assume you said number two, if on the other hand you said number one just ask a pal to check your pulse
There’s a right way and wrong way to write an article. The wrong way would be ‘Salesy’; the article directories wouldn’t let you in the door. The right way needs a bit more skill and before you say “There’s no way I could do that!” let me tell you, “Oh yes there is!”
Writing articles is the very best way to get customers (traffic) to your store (website), and it isn’t a one stop wonder. No Sir! A well written article is there for everyone to see for years, period!
Because you’re a loyal reader I want you be successful (if you’re successful, then I’m successful). I’m going to GIVE YOU FREE a report I wrote about the best way to write an article.
